Become a Certified Trained Chaplain (CTC) - Chaplaincy Training Institute

Home of CTI- Some emergency services agencies often require prior experience or training before they hire a volunteer chaplain or full-time chaplain. Other chaplain organizations in both the U.S. and Canada use our training to train their own chaplains. Now you have access to our 30-hour online training program. If you prefer a group setting, we have authorized instructors and training sites throughout the United States who can provide you with a more personal experience in which you will train with other cohorts. As a student, you'll learn the fundamentals of chaplaincy.

Chaplains College offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Counseling program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of counseling techniques and the role of spirituality in counseling. One of the primary benefits of this degree is that it prepares graduates to provide effective counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.

​Clinical Pastoral Education-CPE

​Some hospitals, hospice care facilities, and prisons may require a master's degree and four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) to qualify for full-time chaplain positions. For students seeking to enhance their education through CPE, we recommend Community Care Chaplains, a trusted training site accredited by the College of Pastoral Supervision.
