Master of Theology
Curriculum Overview Master of Theology Degree Program

The Master of Theology degree is a graduate-level program offered by Chaplains College to students who have previously earned a bachelor's degree. This program is designed for individuals interested in advancing their knowledge and skills in theology, ministry, and related fields. It allows students to deepen their understanding of theological concepts, historical perspectives, and contemporary issues in religion. Graduates of the Master of Theology program will gain advanced knowledge and skills that can help them pursue careers in ministry, teaching, counseling, research, or other related fields. They will also be equipped with critical thinking and analytical skills that can be applied to various contexts within the religious community.

MT-7       Old Testament Pentateuch
MT-8       The History of Christianity in the
               United States and Canada                                       
MT-9       A Journey through Israel (DVD
               Lecture/Book Research)
Session 4
MT-10     Attributes of God               
MT-11      Early Christian Doctrines  
MT-12     Encountering the Book of
               Hebrews: An Exposition     

Session 5
MT-13     The Dead Sea Scrolls         
MT-14     OT Poetic Books
MT-15     Jewish Roots of the Christian Faith
MT- 16    OT Worship

FINAL PROJECT
Thesis: 30,000 to 40,000, word thesis. Topic of thesis will be selected by the professor.

American Psychological Association (APA) Requirements

​Students are required to utilize American Psychological Association (APA) formatting and maintain a level of quality as required for all CCSGS Programs. Written research assignments must reference sources when utilized in research assignments. References must include the title of the manuscript, page location, book author name, and name of publisher, and date of publication. The student must write a research paper for each course of study. All graduate-level students will be required to write a thesis or dissertation.
